Title

Tunes for Bears to Dance To Chapter 3

Description

This seven-page marked typescript of Chapter 3 of Tunes for Bears to Dance To includes penciled line edits. The chapter shows Mr. Hairston's deceptively friendly demeanor to his clientele and his dictatorial behavior during World War II rationing. A description of Mr. Hairston's daughter Doris as ghost-like also appears. Henry briefly speaks with Doris and notices a bruise on her cheek. Henry adds Doris to his prayers along with his own family members and Mr. Levine.
